BEFORE MASSAGE

Thai massage is suitable for most people.  However, if any of the following conditions apply to you, then please to wait until you've made a full recovery before booking an appointment:

 

  • Fever

  • Recent fractures (last 3 months)

  • Any contagious diseases

  • Diarrhoea  or vomiting

  • A massage should not take place after a heavy meal or while you are under the influence of alcohol

 

Please mention if you have any of the following conditions.  It's probably still possible to have a massage.  The affected areas of the body can be safely avoided most of the time.

  • Skin diseases or undiagnosed lumps and bumps

  • Localised swelling

  • Inflammation

  • Haematoma

  • Varicose veins

  • Cuts, bruises or grazes

  • Scar tissue under 6 months old

  • A scar from a major operation less than 2 years ago

  • Sunburn

  • Hormonal implants

  • Hernia

  • Gastric ulcers

  • Conditions of the neck

  • If you have begun menstruating in the last three days

  • Pregnancy (abdomen)
